What is TTFI? |
There are many people in Trinidad and Tobago who are keen to see the country and people move forward by becoming more innovative. The oil and gas resources of the country are finite and will not last forever. Unless the depth and breadth of the economy are strengthened, the future of the country, both economically and socially, cannot be assured.
We have met a significant number of people in T & T who are keen to see the country adopt a more innovative and foresightful approach to its future. They come from the public sector, from industry, from the science and research sector, from the education and economic development sector. All are successful in their fields and would like to see that success leveraged further to advance T & T s future.
These people have a passion to see the country succeed. However, it’s difficult to convert that passion into constructive change without being connected with others who share a similar passion.
The Trinidad and Tobago Foresight and Innovation Network has been initiated to act as a way to help connect these passionate people together and encourage a more cooperative approach towards increasing the focus and practical implementation of innovation and foresight to advance T & T.
This website is the virtual component that enables innovative people to connect with each other at anytime. Our hope is that this virtual connectivity will also be complemented by face to face meetings between participants - formally and informally - to help create a brighter and more secure future for themselves, their families and their fellow T & T citizens.
